On 2 May the international tourist season was opened at the Avgustovsky Water Canal. 30 amateurs of active recreation from Poland crossed the water border between Poland and Belarus on kayaks and by now made their way to Lithuania. As the organizer of the trip say, such tourism projects will have a massive effect this year. Thanks to simplified procedure for obtaining a visa and prompt processing of documents on the border, Belarus will be visited minimum by 10 tourist groups.

“For the first time the agreements between 2 countries, that in my opinion, have been signed so long, have started to work finally. Today the water gate Kuzhinets was opened for the first time. It’s delight to see that unique construction in action. People really enjoy it.” - the representative of a travel agency Sergey Koleda said.
