Holiday “Kahaem pa belarusku” (7)

Saint Valentin’s Day in Belarusian traditions. This is a real holiday of the spring, love, and beauty, in which West tradition is interweaved with the original Belarusian routs. Spectators will be provided with games, contests, entertainments.

It is an annual ceremony of presenting awards to the best Belarusian rock groups. This is a fabulous show with “live” performances of rock musicians. It is a really breathtaking thing.

Regional Festival of Orthodox Chants “Kolozhsky Blagovest” (11)

This event will be of great interest for lovers of ecclesiastical music. The participants are more than 750 performers from Grodno Region, foreign guests are also expected.

“Maslenitsa” (Pancakes Week) (7)

It is an ancient holiday of pagan culture, marking the end of winter and the beginning of long-awaited spring. The traditional final of Pancakes week festivities is burning an effigy of Pancakes week, which imitates the goddess of winter and cold Mara.

“Prazdnovanie Maslenitsy” (Pancakes Week Celebration) (7)

Games, street festivities, theatrical performances upon motifs of ancient folk ceremonies. Spectators also take part in the performances.
