Berestye is a unique museum of a Medieval East Slavic town. It has been the only archeological museum of the kind ever since it opened in Brest on March 2, 1982.
The museum contains 14 halls (total area 2,400 square meters) made of concrete, glass and aluminum.
The exposition of the museum is dedicated to the political, economic and cultural development of Brest in 11-13 centuries.
The archeological zone of the museum has an area of 1,000 square meters. It contains two streets, 30 dwelling houses and a number of craftsmen’s shops (13th century).

Belarusian and Russian citizens: school students — BYR 350, university students — BYR 630, adults — BYR 890;
Foreign citizens — BYR 2,400.
