On December 8 1991 the presidents of Belarus, Russia and Ukraine signed a treaty to disband the Soviet Union.
The fate of the former empire was decided in the heart of Belovezhskaya Puscha in a small village called Viskuli, where a palace for the leaders of the USSR was built in 1950.
Now everybody can go on a tour around this historical place. The Viskuli Residence is located in the Belovezhskaya Puscha National Park, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
There is a three-star hotel in the administrative part of the national park, and Father Frost’s Residence (Father Frost=Santa Claus).
After visiting the place where the political map of Europe was divided, the guests of Viskuli may opt for a bison hunt.
